Important Information: Fall MAP Testing Begins September 15

Good evening MLK Families,

Our students will begin Fall MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) Testing starting Monday, September 14, and concluding on Friday, September 25. All students in grades 6–8 will complete two MAP assessments in Reading and Math. Please note that students currently enrolled in Algebra 1 or Geometry do not take the Math MAP test.

To help us reach our schoolwide goal of a 95% participation rate, please review the testing schedule below to ensure your child is present and on time:

• Tuesday, Sept 15: Grade 6 Reading

• Wednesday, Sept 16: Grade 7 Reading

• Thursday, Sept 17: Grade 8 Reading

• Friday, Sept 18: Make-up Testing (Reading)

• Wednesday, Sept 23: Grade 7 Math

• Thursday, Sept 24: Grade 6 Math

• Friday, Sept 25: Make-up Testing (Math)

Please take a moment to speak with your child about doing their best on these assessments. The results provide valuable insights that allow our teachers to identify specific academic areas where your child may need additional support.
